Mick Kelly is the founder of GIY, one of Ireland’s leading social enterprises which is on a mission to get the world growing.

He has presented three series of RTE’s primetime TV series GROW COOK EAT, which has had nearly 12 million views since 2019 and is now available worldwide on Amazon Prime. He has written four books on food and sustainability including ‘Grow, Cook, Eat’ and GIY’s Know-it-Allmanac; and has written columns on health and food for The Irish Times, Irish Independent, Food & Wine magazine and TheJournal.ie. His 5th book, ‘A GIY Year’ will be published next year. He is an Ashoka Fellow and a member of the Irish Food Writers Guild.

Mick was presented with the Local Food Hero Award at the Irish Restaurant Awards. He lives in Dunmore East in Co. Waterford with his wife and two young GIYers.
